When Beth Meyer first set out to design a pilot’s clubhouse, her approach was undoubtedly innovative, envisioning a gathering place that would cater to family adventures filled with hunting, fishing, and creating memories. Issues with the floodplain and building constraints prompted a pivot; the sizable metal hangar on the property emerged as the perfect canvas for her new vision. This shift allowed Meyer to not only salvage her original design ideas but also enhance them in a more spacious environment, hopeful for a family-friendly layout.
Reimagining Space: A Seamless Blend of Style and Functionality
Collaborating with architect Frances Zook and contractor Evan Crowe, the team set about shedding the heavy exterior of the hangar.
